Data Engineer and Backend Developer

Contributing to a high-impact, fully remote project, the Data Engineer and Backend Developer will support a large-scale migration from a legacy data platform to a modern cloud-based architecture, focusing on building scalable data pipelines and enhancing backend services using Java. Key responsibilities Contribute to the migration from a legacy data platform to a modern, cloud-based architecture Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using ETL processes and modern data tools Develop and enhance backend services and APIs in a cloud-native AWS environment Required qualifications Experience levels ranging from Senior to Principal in Data Engineering, Backend Engineering, and Full Stack development Strong proficiency in Java and backend system development Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-based architectures Strong experience with Snowflake and PostgreSQL databases Proven background in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and large-scale data systems
