Patent Agent - Engineering

The Patents and Innovations Group at Wilson Sonsini has an opening for an IP specialist or patent agent with backgrounds in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, physics, materials sciences, or related disciplines. Practical engineering experience, in addition to working knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) and its applications, would be strongly preferred. A demonstrable interest in the life sciences either from industry or educational experience is also preferred. Advanced degrees are required, and prior patent agent, law firm, or industry experience is a plus. Relocation not available. Search firm submissions not accepted. Compensation and Benefits Salary range of $150,000 – $230,000, based on step level. Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
