Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

The Oracle Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Oracle database applications, PL/SQL programs, and reporting solutions. This role requires technical expertise and communication skills to collaborate effectively with business users, project managers, architects, QA teams, and production support teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database objects, including PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, indexes, and materialized views.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and root-cause analysis to resolve production issues.
  • Create technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and deployment plans.
  • Support application releases, code promotions, and change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and data governance standards.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating requirement-gathering sessions and design reviews.
  • Provide status updates, risks, and dependencies to management.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Oracle Database (12c/19c or later).
  • Advanced PL/SQL development experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL performance tuning.
  • Understanding of data modeling and database design.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
Communication Skills
  • Verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to gather and clarify complex requirements and lead technical discussions.
  • Experience communicating with management and business users.
  • Documentation and analytical skills.
