Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Kearney, NE

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult patients with diagnoses including cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, respiratory conditions, stroke, post-stent, post-pacer placement, and renal failure
• Titrate drips including Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin
• Read and independently interpret telemetry monitor strips
• Manage and troubleshoot Arterial Lines and high-flow respiratory equipment
• Float as needed to Med/Surg or ICU (for PCU-acuity patients)
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4–5 and uphold a strong focus on patient experience, communication, and responsiveness

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated competency with Arterial Lines
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Ability to arrive on-site within 30 minutes if called back in from on-call status
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; compliance is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown setting
• Experience caring for culturally diverse patient populations
• Familiarity with high-flow oxygen therapy and related respiratory equipment
