CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER (PART TIME)

Job Summary We are hiring immediately for part‑time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at the Fayette County School Corporation. Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and perform cashier duties. Prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, and catering orders. Assist the Chef with food preparation and line service. Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas. Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving. Maintain cash accuracy, accept payments, issue receipts, and make deposits at the end of each shift. Inventory and restock supplies and food products. Set up serving line, taking and recording temperatures and ensuring they are within acceptable ranges; notify cooks if temperatures are not within limits. Serve hot and cold items to customers and set up items for purchase daily. Keep refrigerator stocked and rotate products using the first‑in, first‑out rule. Stock pantries with correct par levels and record replenished amounts on floor stock forms. Record refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms daily. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Previous customer service experience is required. Ability to perform required physical tasks and follow safety procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling. Valid High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Compensation and Schedule Fixed pay rate: $13.00 per hour. Schedule: Part‑time; Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (details will be discussed during interview). Internal Employee Referral Bonus: Available.
