Position: Workers Compensation/General Liability Attorney
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 / Crown Point, Indiana 46307 / Chicago, IL
Type: Full-Time Hybrid Description: We're looking for an attorney with 2-6 years of experience in Worker's Compensation (Defence) to join our team and work in our workers' compensation and/or general liability practice helping our clients with a speedy resolution of their cases.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- prepare case evaluations.
- Prepare and file pleadings.
- Prepare for and attend hearings/depositions, site inspections, etc.
- Present facts in writing and verbally to clients and others and argue on their behalf.
- Correspond with all parties including opposing counsel, clients, etc.
- Legal research
- Develop case strategy
- Draft briefs and pleadings
- Negotiate settlements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Admitted to practice in IN (IL, WI a plus)
- Trial experience is a plus
- Intrinsically motivated, self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent research, written and verbal communication skills
- Book of business a plus but not necessary
- Background in civil law and workers' compensation
