Medical Scribe

Overview The Jordan‑Young Institute, an Aligned Orthopedic Partners Company, is a prominent multi‑subsidiary orthopedic and spine private practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia, seeking an experienced Medical Scribe. What You Will Do The Scribe will assist the orthopedic physician by accompanying them during daily office visits to record all aspects of the encounter with speed and accuracy based on the requisite coding level, and by generating a master electronic document that includes the office visit’s details. The scribe does not directly perform patient care. You Will Also Record details of the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, comorbid conditions, medications, and allergies. Record details of the physical exam including pertinent positives, negatives, and noted abnormalities. Record sufficient information in the physician’s assessment and plan based on the level of complexity. We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have Medical office experience (preferable). CPR/First Aid certification (preferable). Proficient knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of general medical terminology, conditions, and interactions. Familiarity with EMR (plus). Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
