Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Charge Nurse for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) in Dallas, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with a single nursing floor
• Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) unit specializing in stroke, amputation, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injury
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:7
• Equipment includes IV pumps, EKG machine, bariatric beds, and medication dispensing systems
• EMR: Cerner and Epic
• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (12-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required, including BLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Experience with rehab or med-surg nursing
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Serves as a Charge RN, requiring strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Common diagnoses and treatments include stroke, amputation, and recovery from major surgeries
• The facility is accredited by CIHQ and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Full-time employment elsewhere is not permitted during this assignment
