Quality Technician II

Job Overview This role ensures or establishes controls for products and processes, maintaining and improving the company quality systems. The position operates with minimal supervision and is responsible for maintaining quality records, performing inspections, calibrating equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The individual must own quality and drive the organization toward 5 Sigma quality objectives. Responsibilities Maintain and improve quality systems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Compile and complete quality records, reports, and documentation, applying Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Participate in problem solving and provide input for process/product evaluations for continuous improvement. Utilize and calibrate equipment; repair, modify, or maintain equipment as needed. Perform inspections as per authorized specifications and applicable quality standards. Recommend improvements to work instructions to enhance quality, clarity, and efficiency. Set up and run testing per procedures or engineering direction; perform failure analysis and troubleshooting. Train personnel on proper techniques and provide support and guidance to other departments. Identify and report quality non‑conformances to support quality objectives and key business metrics. Adhere to core beliefs, safety, quality requirements, and applicable regulations. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent; associate degree or relevant experience preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience at a manufacturing company or 3 years of related manufacturing industry experience; associate degree may substitute for years of experience. Understanding of GD&T. Familiarity with ISO 9001/ISO 13485 quality standards. Computer operation skills. Ability to read and interpret drawings/prints and work instructions. Proficiency with measurement tools/equipment and hand gauges for dimensional measurement. Strong organizational and communication skills. Detail oriented and organized. Benefits & Compensation Salary: $20.55 – $30.14 per hour. Base wages, a cash‑based incentive program supporting a pay‑for‑performance philosophy, overtime pay, shift differentials, and call‑in pay when applicable.
