Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in ensuring optimal patient care by working collaboratively with the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position is suited for a dedicated nurse who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide top-notch support to patients and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Support anesthesiologists and surgeons by providing necessary assistance during surgeries.
• Monitor and maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-ups to ensure patient well-being.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Position Information

• Department: Operating Room
• Openings: 1
• Shift: 10-hour shifts, Wednesday to Friday with occasional call coverage for dedicated PTO days.
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Call Requirements: Yes, to cover PTO days for call RNs
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year plus one travel assignment

Unit Information

• Number of Operating Rooms: 7
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment Utilized: Hana table, trauma table, enseal, myosure, novasure, kabtec, neoprobe
• EHR System: Paragon

Qualifications

• Required Skills/Experience: Proficient in C-sections, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, GYN, ENT (both pediatric and adult), Pain Management, and Dental (pediatric).
• Personality Fit: Must demonstrate a family-oriented culture and teamwork approach.
• Required Education: Relevant nursing qualifications and certifications.
