Quality Technician

Quality InspectorPosition Overview: Responsibilities include but are not limited to, supporting productions' quality needs through use of Romer and CMM inspection machines and various measuring tooling such as: Calipers, micrometer, height gauges and other inspection tools. The employee must possess a working knowledge of drawings and computer programs such as MS Office, PCdmis, Gage Trak, and PACE weld check needed to support the quality functional team.Primary Accountabilities:Component and assembled part dimensional inspection in accordance with the part drawingFinished goods auditLine Romer for quality concernsWeld integrity testing, section, polish, and analyzeSupport / Engage of deviationsSupport Calibration system (inspection, test equipment, functional gages)Strong Team environmentComplete capability studies on critical, major and minor characteristicsProgram development in PPAP principles and practicesDocument & record data collected on inspection forms legiblyKeep work area safe and clean (5S – Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectationsAssist with Housekeeping in NCM areaSupport Operations with NCMR process, inspect partsAssist NCM area with material handling, inventory, non-standard jobs etc.Perform other duties as directed by ManagerEducation and Experience Requirements:1-2 years' experience working in a similar position is preferredSkills and Abilities:Quality plans and controls knowledgeGauging knowledge neededCMM Operating neededCMM programming knowledge preferredStrong communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsGood attendanceDetail OrientedMust have the ability to lift, push, pull 25 poundsMust have the ability to stand, sit and walk at least 75% of the time.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
