Description The University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) College of Applied Technologies is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Instructor to educate and mentor students in the diesel technology field. This full-time, on-campus position provides an opportunity to share industry expertise while helping students develop the technical knowledge and hands-on skills necessary for success in today's diesel industry. Course assignments may include Truck Air Systems and Brakes, Truck Drivetrains, Diesel Engine Fuel Systems, Diesel Diagnosis and Repair, Diesel Engine Electronic Controls, Electrical and Electronic Systems, Air Conditioning, and Suspension and Steering. Located on a 200-acre residential campus in Lima, Ohio, UNOH is recognized worldwide as a leader in Automotive, Diesel, and High Performance education. In addition to its nationally recognized technical programs, the University offers more than 50 degree programs in Business, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Marketing, and other disciplines. Essential Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide engaging classroom and laboratory instruction while maintaining a positive and professional learning environment. Responsibilities include teaching one or two classes per day, with each class lasting approximately five hours, updating curriculum to reflect current industry standards and technology, and serving as a mentor and role model for students. The candidate must be available to teach morning, afternoon, or evening classes as assigned. Requirements Candidates should possess an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution, although equivalent education and experience may be considered. A minimum of five years of diesel industry experience is preferred. Strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and a commitment to student success are essential.
