Intern - Legal

Development of college students who are pursuing a bachelor's degree with plans to obtain law degree upon completion of undergraduate education. Intern will be exposed to a variety of legal and compliance projects and activities that will provide an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace, while gaining exposure to industry practice. This is a temporary, nonexempt position located in Omaha, Nebraska. Interns in this role are expected to work on-site in the Omaha office. Under the direction of senior legal staff, drafts, interprets and provides analysis related to various legal documents, which may include property acquisitions, construction contracts, compliance reports, audits, safety reporting and other documents related to the operation of a major interstate pipeline system; reviews legislative and regulatory activity and performs legal research as directed; supports assigned client group by reviewing regulatory and judicial orders, legislative changes, and regulatory rules and policies; and performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an interest in a legal career with a preference for candidates in the top 20% of their class.
