Assistant Principal - Elementary

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Orange Elementary as an Assistant Principal. This full-time position plays a crucial role in supporting the principal in the administration of the school and fostering an environment conducive to student learning and growth. Responsibilities Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school, including curriculum development, staff supervision, and student discipline. Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective instructional strategies and programs. Support the academic and social-emotional development of students through guidance and intervention programs. Foster a positive school culture that promotes respect, inclusivity, and high expectations for all students. Coordinate and oversee school events, activities, and programs, ensuring they align with the school's mission and goals. Assist in the evaluation and professional development of teachers and staff, providing constructive feedback and support. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and the community to build strong relationships and partnerships. Monitor student progress and performance, using data to inform instructional practices and interventions. Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and federal laws regarding education. Serve as the principal in their absence, making decisions that uphold the school's values and priorities. Requirements A Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field. Valid state certification as a school administrator or eligibility for certification. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an elementary school setting. Strong understanding of elementary education best practices and curriculum standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders, including students, parents, and staff. Proficient in using technology for educational purposes and administrative tasks. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
