Firewall - IDS Engineer

Responsibilities:- Configure and maintain various enterprise cyber security platforms- Define/Maintain security enterprise configurations and policies for IDS/IPS technologies- Maintain detection signatures; deploy new detection signatures- Monitor SIEM events related to implemented IDS/IPS technologies- Configure and enforce audit and logging policies for IDS/IPS technologies- Responsible for configuring and administering LAN switches, routers and firewalls - Define/monitor compliance of intrusion management technologies- Attends and participates within the Change Control Board/Change Approval Board (CCB/CAB) meetings as needed- Authors SOPs as needed or directed- Responsible to fully document assigned tickets to show all work performed in order to pass SLRs- Responsible to maintain accurate CMDB entries for assigned tickets or tasks- Responsible to create, track, and work to resolution Normal and Standard job related Change RequestsQualifications:- US Citizenship required- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Physical Science, or other technology-related discipline. Education Substitution: For each year of degree required, 2 years of experience may be substituted.5-7 years of relevant experience. - Experience with ArcSight: Loggers, ESM and Connectors- Experience with Tipping Point, Sourcefire, Lancope, BRO and similar IDPS technologies- Experience with Fidelis, Opswat, Inquest- Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems certifications a plusPosting Date:Department: -
