Become a part of our caring communityThe Sr Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for producing scalable software solutions utilizing a range of different technologies and languages (such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, C#) to develop applications approaching software holistically in order to cater to both user experience and functionality. Work assignments will involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.This position is remote but requires you to reside in one of the following locations: Chicago, IL, DC/Baltimore Metro area, Louisville, KY, or Dallas/Frisco, TX. The Sr Full Stack Engineer Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.As a Sr Full Stack Engineer, you will perform the following:Work with a team of developers with deep experience in frontend technologies, distributed microservices, and full stack systemsWork across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologiesWork with cloud native stack, build on Azure, AWS, or Google, use technologies like KubernetesWrite effective REST APIs and technical documentationWrite automated test cases to ensure correctness, responsiveness, and efficiency of the software productProvide expertise to influence project, initiative, and maintenance technical direction during discovery, planning, and implementation stages.Maintain modern development standards with best-practice approaches and development processes Use your skills to make an impact Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or combination of education and relevant IT experience4+ years' experience in Python programming4+ years' experience in software engineering2+ years' experience in at least one of the following: Angular, React or Vue.js2+ years' experience in at least one of the following: Java or Node.jsAt least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, or another cloud serviceAt least 1 year of experience in building micro frontends and/or micro servicesPreferred QualificationsMaster’s DegreeAdvance experience in Microsoft AzureExperience in Building Domain Driven MicroservicesAdvance experience in building software with Cloud native technologiesExperience in SASS, W3C Web Standards, Web performance, Cross-browser compatibilityAdvanced understanding of web modular design patternsContent Management (advanced experience and best-practicesWork-At-Home RequirementsTo ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggestedSatellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadershipAssociates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA informationWork at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$106,900 - $147,000 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
