Network Engineer - 26-020 - San Diego, CA As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting NEW opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members in the Point Loma area of San Diego. Support operations of the Triton MQ-4C UAS to plan and engineer, as well as support the implementation and design of network architectures/infrastructures. Use concepts, best practices and concepts related to networking hardware/software, to include LAN, WAN and architectures. Develop network designs, network test plans/reports and use advanced troubleshooting skills for enterprise trouble tickets. Current Security+ CE and (CCNP or CCNA + relevant years' experience). Bachelor's degree + 5 years' experience or high school diploma + 9 years' experience required. Requires expertise with Cisco routers and switches, Quality-of-Service DSCP marking traffic queue prioritization, OSPF & BGP routing protocols, Dynamic mGRE tunnels (DMVPN), VRF, MPLS/VPLS, Q-in-Q VLANs, Wireshark packet capture analysis and network monitoring tools similar to What's Up Gold, Cisco ThousandEyes or equivalent. Experience in design work, design documentation and test execution in support of a design. Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools. Able to clearly document and deliver technical reports to senior leadership. Optional containerization, network orchestration, SDN / SDWAN, Docker, virtualization a plus. Familiarity with Navy Defense Research Evaluation Network (DREN) or Navy shore networks like Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) a plus. Strong written and oral presentation skills required. On-site requirement in the lab, 0700 - 1630 Mon-Thursday and working Fridays 0700-1530. CMS level 2 user for opening/closing the lab. Some travel is required. Up to 10%. Salary Range: $150K-$185K Based on your qualifications, you will be placed in Level I-V. An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
