Starting pay is $39.59 per hour.What You'll DoTechnical Functions:Execute assignments requiring auto mechanic skillsTow ground equipmentExecute assignments requiring skills from a skilled journeyman tradeExecute assignments requiring electrical skillsExecute assignments involving high-pressure hydraulic skillsExecute assignments requiring heating and air conditioning-related skillsMaintain required licenses, certifications, and/or qualificationsConnect/remove ground power and ground start unitsGSE / Facilities General Functions:Assist in storage, removal, and clean-up of hazardous wasteEnsure forms, records, reports, and other work-related paperwork are completed properlyRequest partsClean work area after each shift in preparation for the next crewPerform Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walksCoordinate with vendors regarding technical questionsExplain work procedures to other personnelEscort vendors throughout airport propertyAmerican Airlines General Functions:Report to position on time, as scheduled, and at assigned station or location, including varying shifts, weekends, and holidaysPerform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policiesComplete job-relevant trainingsAdhere to government regulations (e.g., DOT, FAA, TSA)Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standardsFollow instructions from supervisor or Crew Chief, as applicableCoordinate with other employees, vendors, and stakeholders to accomplish work tasksPerform duties that require general safety awareness (e.g., when working in an area with moving vehicles)Wear uniforms and work shoes as required by company policyUse relevant electronic systems to complete workAll You'll Need For SuccessMinimum Qualifications:Education & Prior Job Experience:High School diploma or GED.Valid driver's license.Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language or language native to geographical location.Minimum of eighteen (18) months training from an accredited school in automotive mechanical maintenance, or 18 months mechanical experience on automotive equipment.Possess the applicable state or city license.Must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions in accordance with Company Safety Guidelines.Must be willing to work extra hours when there are operational needs, such as weather delays.Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off.Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA).Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.Travel to the interview and any subsequent relocation expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.What You'll Get:Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
