Registered Nurse - Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Description Of Work

This position plays a key role in supporting the health and daily care of residents while guiding other nursing staff. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

• Nursing Care: Provide assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate resident health services
• Medication Oversight: Administer medications and monitor proper documentation by qualified personnel
• Resident Monitoring: Observe resident conditions, record daily care, and report changes to appropriate staff
• Leadership Support: Guide subordinates, evaluate performance, and assist with training and workflow planning
• Care Coordination: Complete assessments, assist with admissions, and share updates with incoming nursing staff
• Safety Compliance: Follow facility safety rules and report hazards or incidents to the supervisor

• Full-time employment; 80 hours/biweekly
• Work hours are:
• 2nd shift, 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM
• 3rd shift, 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Work every other weekend

• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $ 89,882.00 (before taxes).

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

Qualifications Necessary Special Requirements:

• This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
