Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 5 years required License: Valid State License required at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 4:1 - Experience with charting system (Epic preferred) - Trauma Level II experience required - Travel experience required Description: ER Registered Nurse needed for a busy emergency department. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as required by management. Shifts are 3 nights (18:30 - 06:00) per week. Every other weekend is expected. Daily patient ratios are 4 patients per nurse. The unit has an average daily census of 50-70 patients. Clinical responsibilities include management of ventilated patients and central line care. Knowledge of emergency medications and interpretation of arterial blood gases is essential. Candidates must be proficient in managing dysrhythmias and procedural sedation. Interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services is available. Flexibility to work 3 weekend shifts per week is required. Candidates must be able to provide a 7-year work history for background verification. All certifications must be current and in hand at the time of application. Candidates should be prepared for potential background checks.
