Direct Support Professional – Enhanced Pay: $18.50 per hour (based on weekday/weekend shifts). Sign‑on Bonus: $1,000. Hours: 3‑day work week, 8 am–8 pm or 8 pm–8 am. Position: full‑time, part‑time and peak. At Emory Valley Center in Oak Ridge, TN, we support adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We help them achieve independence and engage in life‑changing opportunities. Responsibilities Support individuals with daily living skills, personal care, health and safety, community engagement and meaningful activities per support plan. Document services accurately and follow behavior support strategies. Maintain a clean and safe home environment. Respond calmly and respectfully to challenging behaviors or crises. Perform housekeeping tasks, transportation support, and use electronic documentation systems. Stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs; may need after‑hours work and travel. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 18 years old. Valid Tennessee driver’s license with a good driving record. 6 months to 1 year experience supporting people with behavioral needs. Willingness to work scheduled shifts including weekends, holidays, nights, inclement weather. Ability to work in residential and community settings. Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, problem‑solving skills. Calm under pressure, use good judgment, de‑escalate challenging situations. Compassionate approach to personal care.
