The Role The Associate Director, Communications, is responsible for leading internal communications in the US, as well as enterprise-wide initiatives and campaigns, and proactively contributing to global content creation as a member of Genmab’s Communications & Corporate Affairs team. This role is based in Princeton, NJ, and reports into the Senior Director, Communications, also based in Princeton, NJ. The Associate Director (AD) will develop and execute an internal communications strategy for US-based employees to support employee engagement and cross-functional communications. This role will partner with its counterparts in Denmark (Associate Director, DK Public Affairs & Communications) and in the Netherlands (Associate Director, Communications & Public Affairs NL) to ensure pull-through of global messaging through a local lens. As part of this role, the AD will also support the Senior Director, Communications, to support global events and executive communications, as well as curate and develop content for digital channels and contribute to global initiatives campaigns that showcase Genmab’s journey of innovation and growth to build confidence in Genmab’s transformation into a fully integrated biotech bringing our medicines to patients. Work arrangement: This role offers flexibility to work away from the office for 20%–40% of a typical schedule. Employees may use this work schedule in increments of single days or multiple consecutive days, provided it does not exceed 40% within a 60-day period, and is approved by the hiring manager Responsibilities Brings the Genmab narrative to life through dynamic communications and engaging forums including meetings, in-person and virtual events; and through rich storytelling to drive enterprise-wide understanding of the company’s strategy and culture. Leads internal communications in the US, aligning messaging and approach with Global C&CA and with Commercialization Communications for US Market to customize as needed. Delivers large-format employee meetings (e.g., Global Updates, CEO All Hands, etc.) and coordinate smaller-scale forums (e.g. executive roundtables) with the goal of shaping and influencing employee sentiment, building confidence in Genmab’s future, and foster leadership trust and visibility. Manages agenda, content, rehearsals and logistics. Counsels internal stakeholders on all aspects of employee communications, including messaging, change management, and digital channel strategy. Partners with Site HR Leader to support organizational evolution and to stay connected on global communications campaigns that require local approach. Creates visual assets and imagery for internal use, bringing to life Genmab’s mission, strategic ambition, and commitment to patients Provides well-written business communications for senior leaders, including but not limited to organizational announcements, meeting presentations, key messages, talking points, scripts, and briefing documents. Requirements Bachelor’s degree, Advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in communications preferably within pharma/biotech or other highly regulated environments. Demonstrated experience in executive communications, internal communications, editorial management, omnichannel strategy, change management, and project management. Eye for detail and design with experience in producing creative assets. Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Adobe is helpful. Prior experience as part of a global team and working with multiple stakeholders across different functions. Fluency with SharePoint and other digital communications tools. For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows: $156,000.00---$236,400.00 The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
