Manager - Transportation Engineering

REC is seeking a Transportation Engineering Leader in Houston, TX office. This is a people management role overseeing the Transportation Design team and will work on a variety of transportation projects spanning multiple clients and presenting unique challenges. Responsibilities Lead the roadway, bridge and drainage team for Texas. This will include all technical staff that fall within those specialties. Manage the delivery of transportation projects. Assist in running the Transportation Market in Texas along with the Texas Practice Lead. Oversee goal setting, reviews, salary planning and involvement in business planning as well as forwarding Transportation specific goals and initiatives. TxDOT experience and appropriate pre-certifications required. Partnering with sales and technical leadership to build relationships with DOT, other transportation agencies, and local clients, with an ability to work successfully across markets. Recruiting and retaining strategic technical talent and the best and brightest employees. Requirements BS or MS in Civil Engineering or related field. 12+ years of experience. PE License or ability to obtain within a year of employment. Experience managing staff is required. Experience in MicroStation required. Experience in leading project teams, including subconsultants, in performing transportation design of transportation projects is required. Experience working on TxDOT projects is required.
