Mechanical AssemblerWe make an extraordinary product. Some might say it defies gravity! As our Mechanical Assembler, you'll be the one who creates these gravity-defying products. You'll ensure all products are crafted with the utmost quality by:Following standard operating procedures and staying within job safety parametersPreparing and assembling Seakeeper sphere sub-assemblies, utilizing build stands, overhead hoists, and various hand and power toolsAssembling and testing parts/components efficiently within the allowed time standard by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and subassembliesMaintaining quality standards and making adjustments when necessary to produce products within specificationsVerifying components by measuring and visually inspecting completed components; reject and immediately report products outside test and quality specificationsTracking daily production and job time utilizing electronic scanners where applicableCommunicating clearly with shift supervisors, as well as assemblers on other shiftsChecking and maintaining material and tool inventoryAnticipating needed supplies and notifying the supervisor for placing and expediting material supply ordersCompleting standard production and quality forms as needed1ST SHIFT:Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.2ND SHIFT:Monday through Thursday from 3:30p.m. - 2:00a.m. (you will train on 1st shift for the first four weeks)4TH SHIFT:Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.MUST-HAVESHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read, write, and speak English1+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly with a strong mechanical and/or electrical backgroundMaintain a clean and safe working environment at all timesPossess quality focus, sound judgment, and decision-makingAbility to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionallyStand or walk for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts) on concrete or other hard surfacesPerform frequent repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, and grippingUse hands and fingers to handle small parts, operate tools or controls, and assemble products with precisionVisually inspect products for defects, labels, or measurementsDistinguish sounds such as machinery alarms, beeps, or spoken instructions in a noisy environmentWear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwearMORE DETAILS YOU'LL WANT TO KNOWYou'll be based in our Leesport, PA facility full-timeOn-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Seakeeper expert!)You'll report to the Production Supervisor, also based in Leesport, PAThis is a manual labor position, working along a production assembly lineYOUR TEAMOur Assembly team is nestled within our Production department.
