Wholesale Credit Underwriting – Asset Backed Lending – Assistant Vice President Job Req Id: 25919909 Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India Job Type: On-Site/Resident Posted: Jan. 05, 2026 Job Overview Associate to join Credit Assessment team to deliver credit risk analysis, monitoring, and credit administration as partner to underwriting. Responsible for writing Annual & Quarterly Reviews, support transactions, and enhance leveraged lending credit management. Responsibilities Assess the credit and financial strength of Citi’s most complex large corporate clients by performing fundamental credit analysis using quantitative and qualitative factors. Monitor the covered portfolio, track industry trends, impacts to key relationships, and escalation of potential credit issues to underwriters, risk and partners. Evaluate and understand clients’ business model, financial performance, and key credit drivers through due diligence and ongoing monitoring. Assess borrower’s cash flow profile by building projection models for regulatory rating and credit extension decisions; provide analytical support in transaction origination, portfolio management, and strategic initiatives. Qualifications 6‑9 years of credit analysis, origination, or relevant credit experience. Well‑developed analytical skills with strong understanding of liquidity, leverage, and ability to form independent opinions on credit and recognize emerging risks. Team player with strong work ethic; can coach and mentor analysts. Exceptional organizational skills; able to work under pressure and manage time, priorities, and deadlines. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in three‑statement financial modeling. Ability to handle demanding responsibilities, work independently, and juggle multiple tasks. Awareness and adherence to quality assurance and quality control environments.
