Sr. Financial Analyst, Discovery Science, ON-SITE REQUIRED

Department: Molecular & Cellular Physiology Work Shift: Day (United States) Salary: $64,972.00 - $97,458.00 Responsibilities Provide financial support to Chairs, Administrators, and Principal Investigators, ensuring accurate and timely financial information. Develop grant budgets and maintain compliance with internal and external financial controls. Track expenses, prepare projections, and manage expense reporting on a monthly basis. Assist in preparation and submission of funding applications and related reports. Manage grant award set-up, just-in-time funding, and Notices of Award through InfoEd Grant Management. Prepare and submit cost center forms and assist PIs with detailed budget revisions. Identify and resolve financial issues with sponsors, initiate re-budgeting requests, and obtain Workday Grant Reporting access. Provide training to PIs on financial systems, reporting, and regulations. Coordinate inter-departmental cost sharing and prepare budget change forms for research staff. Reconcile grant cost centers, flag over/under expenditures, and review research expenses for accuracy. Prepare recerts, transfers, check requests, green requisitions, and travel reimbursements as needed. Track invoices, process checks, monitor subcontracts, and manage invoicing for subcontractors. Prepare ORA forms A/B for continuation years and monitor no-cost extensions. Assist PIs with effort reporting, extrapolate grant cost center charges, and help manage the spending plan. Analyze monthly and annual fund balance reports, review financial projections, and flag variances to budget. Handle grant cost center close-out, resolve encumbrances, and support required close-out activities. Qualifications Demonstrated ability with advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and InfoEd Grant Management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service orientation. Education & Experience Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Fiscal Management, Business, Accounting, or related field highly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial positions.
