Interventional Radiologist – MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center

The MedStar Medical Group – Radiology is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join the MedStar Interventional Radiology practice at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, Maryland. This is a 100% interventional position with the primary practice location at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, a full-service acute care hospital serving Prince George’s County and the surrounding communities.

The practice performs a broad range of interventional radiology procedures and offers opportunities for continued growth and collaboration within the MedStar Health system. The successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

This position will primarily support MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, with occasional cross coverage at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center approximately once every other month. The role is part of the larger MedStar Interventional Radiology practice, which includes multiple hospitals throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C., including MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Providers benefit from regular system-wide conferences, collaborative quality initiatives, and opportunities to participate in practice development across the health system.

The MedStar Health System has a dedicated research institute that provides support for research contracting, study design, and biostatistics. The Department of Radiology also has dedicated resources available to support section research initiatives.

Successful candidates may be considered for faculty appointments at Georgetown University School of Medicine, with academic rank commensurate with experience. Requirements include IR/DR board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and eligibility for medical licensure in Maryland.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Radiology
• Open to experienced radiologists and new graduates (fellowship training preferred)li> Eligible for medical licensure in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia
• Strong clinical skills, commitment to patient care, and excellent communication skills

This position has a hiring range of USD $550,000.00 - USD $550,000.00 /Yr.
