This hands-on working leadership position combines technical expertise with team coordination, offering the opportunity to tackle a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and construction projects while making a lasting impact on the college community every day.Salary: $7226 a monthUnder general supervision, perform skilled tasks requiring knowledge to inspect, repair, install, and maintain physical facilities requiring skilled mechanical and trades work. This position requires a good working knowledge of several related skill fields such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding and machinist work. The Maintenance Lead II will also lead and work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, and construction of buildings, grounds, machinery, equipment, facilities and utilities structures. This position has the authority to make decisions without supervision regarding: work priorities, processes, methods, and flow. Utilizes independent judgement, leadership, and effective communication with all levels of campus community to prioritize and organize multiple demands, both immediate and long range, for on-going operations of the unit.Perform maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical, mechanical and structural systems of buildings and utility distributionPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of mechanical equipment such as electrical drive motors, laundry, kitchen, and air-conditioning equipment; change oil, grease, change or clean filters, drive belts, sprockets, shafts, and bearings to ensure proper operationRepair windows, doors, screens, floors, floor coverings, and painted surfaces; install, maintain, and repair electrical connections, switches, circuits, electrical equipment, thermostats, and valvesInspect and initiate corrective action on a variety of building and facility related systems equipment and software.
