Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro MS/Tele required. License: Active license required before start date. Certifications: BCLS required. Must-Have: - Neuro telemetry experience. - Experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tubes, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias, MS/Tele, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, tracheostomy care/management, and wound care. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a mixed unit focusing on orthopedic trauma and neurology patients, including neurosurgery, stroke, and general neurology. The nursing staff will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:4-5 during both day and night shifts. Float requirements may include assignments to care for boarders in the emergency department. Nurses are expected to provide comprehensive care, utilizing their expertise to interpret telemetry data, administer medications, and follow specific protocols. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential to deliver holistic care to the patients. Daily census typically includes adults and geriatric patients. RTO over 7 days must be approved. Previous charge experience is preferred. Understanding of patient care protocols and response to emergencies is critical. Overall, the nurse will be expected to uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.
