EPC Program Manager

Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to join our growing cross-business unit execution team. You'll manage teams, budgets, and risks while driving efficiency and ensuring every project exceeds expectations.As a Program Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the success of a diverse Project Portfolio by fostering a one-team collaborative execution approach with Project Managers, Sales Leaders, Project Sponsors, Functional Managers, and Project Teams. You will lead cross-business unit and cross-functional teams, with direct or indirect management responsibilities. The Program Manager must be an excellent communicator at all levels, proactive, and exhibit strong leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and thrive in a dynamic, geographically dispersed project environment, bringing strategic insight and operational excellence to our most complex customer-facing projects. What will you do in this position?  Opportunity Shaping Collaborate with Sales and Tendering Teams: Work closely with North American Operations sales and tendering teams to support major pursuits and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Define Project Statements of Work (SOWs): Develop high-quality proposals, create value propositions, and formulate execution strategies that meet client needs and organizational goals. Program and Project Execution Provide Operational Support: Assist Project teams managing Schneider Electric's most complex and largest customer-facing projects, focusing on profitability and customer satisfaction. Ensure Project Success: Emphasize risk management, planning, and claims to deliver successful project outcomes. Lead Reviews: Lead and/or contribute to regular program and project level reviews, including regular external business reviews with customers. Support Project Execution: Oversee a portfolio of customer projects, providing strong coaching and mentoring as selected by the Solution Opportunity Committee. Mentoring & Coaching Mentor Project Managers: Formally mentor and coach Project Managers, guiding the “experience” component of their development. Direct Interface on Projects: Provide coaching, mentoring, and direct interface on specific projects to enhance team performance and growth. Continuous Improvement Lead Improvement Initiatives: Drive initiatives that improve profitability and order intake through better project management practices. Resource Alignment Processes: Establish processes for resource assignment, engage with commercial teams, and align targets. Improve Tendering Practices: Enhance tendering practices and ensure well-defined Scopes of Work at the project level. Develop Project Plans: Create project plans with identified billable elements and link risk reserves to the SOW and project plan. Support Talent Development: Contribute to the PM Talent improvement plan for North America. Qualifications Education and Experience  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field. Advanced engineering degree or MBA preferred. 10+ years of demonstrated success in Program/Project Management within Large and Complex Projects, involving multiple business units, spanning multiple years, and managing complex contracts. Certifications and Skills Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. Program Management Professional (PgMP) desired. Fluent with Microsoft Office programs, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Proficient with planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and/or Smartsheet. Thorough understanding of project and program P&L financials. Soft Skills and Leadership Strong leadership skills, including team building, empowering and delegating authority, and building rapport and consensus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service and team success. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, capable of handling a high volume of complex matters. Strong analytical skills and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders. Proven ability to manage contracts, with advanced knowledge of contract law, codes, standards, and industry practices. Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Normal work schedule is Monday to Friday but may vary based on project requirements. Special project circumstances may require additional or modified working days and/or hours. Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently and remain focused in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Track record of delivering results. Exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams toward task completion. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills. Strong problem-solving skills. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
