Patient Liason - Surgical Services - Full Time Days - Novi

General Summary Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital - Surgical Services 9am-5:30pm, 40 hours per week, No weekends Acts as a liaison between guests, staff and patients to respond to patient and guest information inquiries. Responsibilities Receives, screens, routes and/or responds to all incoming inquiries for information, directions or concerns. Receives guest suggestions and complaints and escalates through proper channels. Provides patient information in compliance with The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements and organizational privacy policies. Identifies and report issues of safety and maintenance. Assists in improving patient satisfaction while keeping volunteer office management informed of potential problems. Anticipates family's needs and resolves issues before they become major source of concern. Education/Experience Required High School diploma equivalency - 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable Bachelor's degree preferred Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills Ability to effectively prepare and analyze reports Proficient with Microsoft applications One to Two years of related experience (preferably in a hospital setting).
