Senior Reservoir Engineering Specialist

Overview The Senior Reservoir Engineering Specialist role at EOG Resources is responsible for maximizing value of company assets through reserve and production growth. Duties include technical evaluation of prospects and producing properties, project economics, well and reservoir surveillance functions and SEC reserve evaluation. Evaluations on selected properties to assess potential, predict reservoir performance, evaluate completion strategies, optimize future depletion and development plans. Such evaluations may include pressure and rate transient analysis, fracture optimization, decline curve analysis, nodal analysis, material balance calculations, well and reservoir modeling, EOR studies and economic analysis. Some operational and stimulation knowledge is preferred. Presentations to senior management are required. Responsibilities Maximize value of company assets through reserve and production growth Technical evaluation of prospects and producing properties Project economics, and well and reservoir surveillance functions SEC reserve evaluation Evaluate selected properties to assess potential, predict reservoir performance, evaluate completion strategies, and optimize future depletion and development plans Perform analyses such as pressure and rate transient analysis, fracture optimization, decline curve analysis, nodal analysis, material balance calculations, well and reservoir modeling, EOR studies, and economic analysis Some operational and stimulation knowledge is preferred Presentations to senior management are required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering 10+ years of reservoir engineering experience in the oil & gas industry (less experience may be considered with an advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering) Strong technical background in reservoir engineering including decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, EOR studies, pressure transient analysis, nodal analysis, etc., and a good understanding of geology Petrophysical analysis skills and reservoir simulation knowledge are helpful Working knowledge of commercial oil and gas economics software; Aires for Windows experience is preferred Ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision Good presentation, communication and technical writing skills Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multi-functional teams Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects Details Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience EOG Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Disabled. #J-18808-Ljbffr EOG Resources
