RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement or as needed based on unit needs
• 18-bed CVICU with 1:1 nurse to patient ratios
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must have minimum 1 year of experience with CVICU patient population
• Required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Work with RT equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Care for open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients
• Support patients with Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
• Handle complex cases from cath lab, structural heart program, EP lab, ER, and clinic
• Will float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Must pass open book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• EPIC charting system
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with any CommonSpirit facility
• Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification
• No CNAs on unit - RNs work independently

The hospital maintains 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage, ensuring the highest level of patient care for critically ill cardiovascular patients. The facility supports advanced cardiac surgeries, structural heart procedures, and complex interventional cases with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
