Sr. Maintenance Manager

Located in Siloam Springs, AR, you will be the Sr. Maintenance Manager. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager directs the activities of Maintenance, Automation, and Facilities teams. The incumbent is responsible for all plant and departmental goals, including reliability, cost reduction, waste reduction, safety, quality improvements, downtime reduction, and compliance with established policies and procedures. The position monitors progress toward goals and ensures capital projects and other resources provide maximum benefits to the facility. The incumbent works collectively with Plant Leadership to actualize Gates’ vision and meet objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day activities of the Maintenance department and outside contractors, set goals, priorities, monitor progress, and evaluate staff performance to maximize resource benefits. Create an empowered environment that ensures the Maintenance organization understands business goals and obtains the resources and support to accomplish them; establish open, healthy communication. Ensure all maintenance processes are fully documented (capital start‑up plans, SOPs, DOPs, run documents) and implement needed changes. Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs and maintain a proficient MRO and inventory system. Create operating and capital budgets with leadership teams; manage department expense budgets, support business planning and budgeting, and develop short‑ and long‑term cost containment strategies. Prepare and coordinate maintenance schedules to achieve monthly PM and calibration compliance, complete workload lists, and continuous‑improvement activities. Oversee diagnostic, monitoring, troubleshooting, root‑cause, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant facilities, manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, boiler, and air compressors. Implement routine predictive testing (vibration analysis, air‑leak detection, thermographic inspection, etc.) to increase machine reliability. Supervise maintenance facilitators on multiple shifts. Use the plant CMMS to schedule PM, assign personnel, order parts, and maintain critical spare‑parts inventory levels. Administer and maintain the Gates TPM program. Monitor repair costs and budget departmental labor, parts, outside services, and supplies; focus on cost reduction in all areas. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements; maintain comprehensive records. Contract with and oversee contractors for plant/facilities maintenance responsibilities, reviewing and monitoring cost and quality of work. Develop and implement new, lean methods, procedures, and systems to improve OEE on machinery. Track, monitor, and improve top downtime contributors to drive organizational success. Coordinate the team on projects prioritizing safety, quality, and delivery solutions for operations teams. About You BS/BA or equivalent (11–15 years of experience) with at least 3 years of specific experience. Prefer BA/BS degree in engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing or supervising maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Strong, effective management and supervisory skills: planning, organizing, communicating, influencing, gathering information, and motivating staff to achieve results. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
