Sr Business Architect

Overview The Senior Business Architect plays a critical role within the portfolio and PMO ecosystem by ensuring enterprise strategy is translated into coherent, investment‑ready business capabilities, value streams, and target operating models across the health insurance enterprise. This role partners closely with Portfolio Management, Finance, Product, Operations, and Technology leaders to evaluate proposed initiatives, validate business cases, and align investments to strategic priorities, regulatory mandates, and measurable outcomes. The Senior Business Architect identifies cross‑portfolio dependencies, capability gaps, and redundancies, enabling more informed prioritization and sequencing of work. By connecting strategic intent to portfolio execution, this role strengthens governance, improves decision quality, and helps ensure the organization is investing in the right capabilities at the right time to deliver sustainable value, regulatory compliance, and improved member and provider experiences. Responsibilities Facilitate participative decision making and planning workshops with senior leaders from multiple departments. Provide consulting to senior and mid‑level leadership on complex or ambiguous business problems and advise on low‑risk/high‑value alternatives. Apply business management consulting tools to remove ambiguity and drive data‑driven decision making and planning. Contribute to the development of enterprise business architecture models. Translate strategies into business roadmaps and annual project portfolios using strategic planning practices. Conduct analysis of current and future states, performance gaps, and root causes. Understand business behavior patterns that enable strategic and tactical goal achievement. Monitor industry, technology, infrastructure, legal, and regulatory trends and incorporate their impact into actionable recommendations. Influence senior business leaders in using business planning disciplines to achieve goals. Develop and maintain working relationships with business leaders and strategy owners. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree with 5+ years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of related experience. The base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
