We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Residential Group Home team on Bennett House in Wilmington, Delaware, 19806. Work Schedule: Total 16 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and weekendsWe are pleased to confirm we can accommodate your new hire notice, allowing you to attend the first four-day, Monday-Thursday orientation schedule, day shift at our Philadelphia location. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for your attendance at new hire orientation.Some duties would include the following:To provide direct care and supervision to participants in the residential group home setting.To ensure a safe, healthy, secure and recovery-oriented environment, which promotes growth and development.To facilitate participant growth and development toward independence in self-care, daily living, socialization and community integration.To participate in the development and implementation of the participants' recovery plans.Qualifications include the following:High school diploma or GED required and current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Delaware.Ability to respond to disruptive behavior.Excellent communication skills both oral and written.Knowledge and ability to provide hands on assistance with activities of daily living.Possess a valid driver's license with and acceptable driving record.Scope:Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, bend, kneel, stack, stoop, which includes direct intervention with participants.Ability to climb and descend stairs.Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.Requires crisis intervention techniques in crisis situations.Horizon House offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package including medical and dental, (9) nine paid holidays and generous time off, tax shelter annuity, retirement saving plan, tuition reimbursement and the opportunity for advancement.To be considered for this position please complete the application by going to House, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
