New Grad Registered Nurse, (New Graduate RN) Medical Surgical Float Pool Work Arrangement: On‑Site Requisition Number: 271647 Regular or Temporary: Regular Location: Durham, NC, 27710 Registered Nurse (New Grad RN) Duke University Health System Float Pool Location: Various units at Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, and Duke Raleigh Hospital. What you will do Provide patient care, support, and participate in rounds on Medical Surgical units. Monitor the patient to the nurse:patient ratio averaged 1:3 through 1:6 depending on acuity. Document assessments, plans of care, interventions, and re‑evaluations. Educate patients and families and manage relationships with the healthcare team. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality patient care. What you will need Graduation from an accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Associate’s Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor’s degree must enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of the start date and complete it within seven years. Licensure and Certification Required Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as an RN or compact RN licensure. BLS Certification. What we will provide Float Pool RN Premium of $5.00 per hour. Paid training: 4 weeks for experienced RNs; 14 weeks for new grads. Tuition assistance and Nurse Loan Forgiveness up to $25,000 for full‑time positions. Relocation assistance for nurses relocating greater than 50 miles to Durham.
