Job Summary
We are seeking an Optician to join our team! As an Optician, you will speak with patients to learn about their lifestyle and needs, take facial measurements, and help them pick out eyewear and contact lenses based on their specific requirements. You will also help them learn about their new products, explain pricing and insurance coverage, and follow all HIPPA and confidentiality regulations closely. The ideal candidate has exceptional customer service skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of an optometrist’s office.

• Full time position for an experienced optician in an optometry/optical office. Independent optometry office in Costa Mesa that provides excellent patient care for eye exams, contact lenses, eyewear, and eye medical care. Our bottom-line goal is to serve our patients well with true, helpful care. That is how we measure success.
• Work with a friendly, excellent team where we all connect with our patients well and serve them with great care.
• Requires excellent customer service skills.
• Job entails eyewear sales and dispensing, and all office duties including appointment scheduling, insurance authorizations, inventory control, pre-testing, etc.
• Office hours are Monday through Saturday.
• All staff are cross-trained to perform all office duties. Ideal candidate must possess a positive, professional attitude with outstanding communication and efficiency skills. Friendliness is a must. Please send resume.

Qualifications

• Previous optician experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
