Position Overview

Our organization is in search of a Registered Nurse – Operating Room to provide safe and compassionate perioperative care within our hospitals located in San Antonio. This position involves serving as either a circulating or scrub nurse, overseeing all elements of surgical care from the initial pre-operative verification to the recovery handoff.

• Conduct thorough patient assessments.
• Ensure adherence to sterile techniques throughout procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate patient status during surgeries.
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies effectively.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Support educational initiatives for patients and their families.
• Engage in quality and safety improvement projects.

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Experience in perioperative nursing is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
