About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS certification, ACLS certification Must-Have: - BLS certification from AHA required - ACLS certification from AHA required - RN License in state of employment or compact Description: The competent nurse in a clinical setting practices independently. Demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to help manage clinical situations. Meets expectations of applicable competencies, including Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process. Includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Uses appropriate protocols to administer medications and treatments. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Identifies issues and resources for patients and families.
