Distribution Specialist

Objectives:

• Complete daily functions of the role in accordance with Merit Brass safety policies and procedures
• Supports team members to maintain efficiencies in all warehouse functions

Responsibilities:

Accurately pick and pack products using PowerdPick and D365Perform receiving functions, including receipt and put-away for overseas, domestic and inter-company transfersAssist in all activities that support inventory accuracy, on-time delivery of product and customer (internal & external) satisfactionHandle some onboard training and development of associates within determined areasStrive to achieve Merit Brass production metrics, including safety, quality, productivity, and customer needsMust be able to operate all Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE) (including but not limited to pallet jacks, stand-up/sit-down tow motors, cherry pickers, Big Joe machines, cranes, Booms, etc.) by adhering to Merit's safety procedures/processesAbility to learn product line and corresponding identification numbersPerform other duties that may be assigned to support overall Merit Brass Distribution

Requirements:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education
• Ability to do basic high school reading, writing, and mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Minimum of two years of warehouse experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrate success in a leadership role with analytical problem-solving abilities
• Must be able to stand, reach, bend, push, and pull bulky material for the entire shift, and capable of lifting 50-70 lbs. frequently
• Excellent work habits, including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic
• Willingness and ability to work overtime or alternate schedules when asked by a manager or supervisor
