Oncology Registered Nurse - Contract Position

This position involves 3 × 12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts may be required, including every other weekend or one weekend every six weeks, depending on departmental needs.

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. The nurse will be primarily responsible for the administration of chemotherapy and managing care for patients undergoing Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT). Floating to Med Surg will be rare but may occur if work is unavailable on the BMT floor.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and manage the care of oncology patients.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and potential side effects.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, ideally in oncology.
• Oncology Nurse Certification (ONS) recommended.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and BMT preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
