FlexStaff is hiring Medical Assistants for our client, a leading primary care focused, multi-specialty medical group. Office locations are located throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and Nassau County. Chinese language skills are required! Please only apply if you speak fluent Chinese.

Job Summary:

\n

Medical Assistants must provide kind and compassionate care to optimize the patient’s experience. They direct the patient flow in and out of exam rooms and provide support to providers by assisting in medical procedures and examinations.

\n

Job Functions:

\n

\n
• Work alongside providers in the exam room to provide care.
\n
• Work alongside providers in the exam room to provide care.
\n
• Measure and record vital signs, height, and weight for patients.
\n
• Obtain chief complaint and gather medical history information from patient prior to being seen by provider.
\n
• Perform basic clinical duties and procedures, including, but not limited to, blood draws, vital signs, preparing vaccines, recording EKGs, glucose monitoring, collecting urine samples, influenza testing, pregnancy tests, vision/hearing tests, etc.
\n
• Prepare exam room for patient visit ensuring that medical supplies are well stocked.
\n
• Clean and sterilize instruments.
\n
• Perform duties to help improve quality measures which may include identifying care gaps, calling patients for follow up, documentation, etc.
\n
• Help maintain clinic compliance & protocols, such as freezer setting, biohazards, sharps, cleaning, infection protocols, etc.
\n
• Other related duties as assigned by office manager.

Qualifications :

\n

\n
• Bilingual in English and Chinese required.
\n
• Phlebotomist certification preferred.
\n
• High level of professionalism and strong sense of responsibility.
\n
• Good communication skills, kind and compassionate.
\n
• Prior experience working in medical/clinical setting is highly preferred.
\n
• Familiarity with EMR systems a plus.
