Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled SMT Programmer/Operator to join our team. As an SMT Programmer/Operator, you will be responsible for programming and operating the SMT machines for optimal performance. Duties include machine programming, setup, operation, and maintenance of MPM Stencil Printers, Fuji Aimex II placement machines, Heller reflow ovens, and conformal coat machines. This person must be capable of running jobs through the complete SMT process with minimum supervision. Daily responsibilities will vary and will require additional training as necessary.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will leverage your expertise to program FUJI Aimex II surface mount placement machines with precision and accuracy utilizing Nexium softwareCreate and modify component profiles for SMT and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipmentDevelop inspection programs for AOI machines to uphold quality standardsMaintain SMT assembly machines to streamline workflowEstablish and maintain reflow oven profiles for optimal performanceManage inventory of stencils and consumable items essential for operationsProvide technical support to machine operators and collaborate with cross-functional teamsSupport efforts to achieve production goals with Engineers/Designers, and ManagementAdhere to quality and safety standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environmentGeneral equipment maintenance to ensure seamless operationsPerform other tasks as required to meet business needsQualifications & Experience3-5 years of experience programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting Surface Mount equipment (preferably FUJI AIMEX)Proficient in FUJI Nexium Programming software requiredAbility to read/interpret Bill of Materials and Assembly drawingsElectronic component identificationParts database (BOM) software userIPC-610 training/experienceKnowledge of ESD proceduresSolder paste/stencilingAbility to problem solveStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenMechanical tooling/fixtures aptitudeQuality focusSimple electronic testing (DVM, etc..)MS Windows, Word and Excel (basics)High School Diploma or GEDSchedule:9 hour shift M-Th4 hour FridayOccasional OT as neededExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefitsHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) with Employer Discretionary MatchReferral programMetrospec requires a background check for all candidates once an offer has been accepted.
