Core Duties Include Sorts and delivers incoming mail and parcels. Prepares and posts outgoing mail ensuring compliance with all postal and export regulations. Interfaces with all internal and external customers and vendors to ensure satisfaction, reliability, and compliance with all government and company regulations and policies. As designated, may assist in collecting payroll and personnel information for the Supervisor, Program Manager, District Office, and Timekeeping department. Reinforces training objectives to Mail Services Clerk and other company personnel. In conjunction with company management or designated representatives, ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions. Maintain an open line of communication with the Supervisor to advise and inform. Operates office equipment to solve customer problems and complaints. Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site. Learn and perform multiple mail runs and other mail services-related duties. Minimum Qualifications At Entry Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position. Basic Requirements U.S. citizenship preferred Must have or be able to obtain a current, valid state driver’s license. Must have or have the ability to obtain a Security Clearance. Background Prerequisites Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements. Education/Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D One (1) to two (2) years' experience in the field and well-developed skills appropriate to the assignment. Competencies (as Demonstrated Through Experience, Training, And/or Testing) Ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients. Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to be an effective team member. Ability to provide high quality customer service. Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures. Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Possess basic skills in keyboarding; computer usage, specifically Microsoft Office and other windows based products, and operating controls. Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. May be required to use vehicle in the performance of duties.
