Position Summary Description Position Summary This role owns procurement execution for all non-OEM (non-Caterpillar) supplier commodities supporting MacAllister's electric power strategic accounts business. The Procurement Specialist is accountable for sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of assigned commodity categories — including enclosures (packaging), clean emissions modules (CEMs), plenums, camboards, and other ancillary equipment — ensuring supply continuity, cost discipline, specification compliance, and on-time delivery aligned to project schedules. This role operates as the primary commercial interface with assigned suppliers, owning supplier commercial and delivery performance, purchase order execution, and supply risk identification. Negotiate pricing, lead times, warranties, and service-level agreements. Develop and manage supplier contracts, including long-term agreements. Identify and execute cost savings, cost avoidance, and supplier optimization opportunities. Note: Supplier quality performance (conformance, audits, NCRs, corrective actions) is owned by the Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) function. Supply Risk Identification & Escalation Identify and elevate supply chain risks that could impact project schedules, cost, or delivery commitments. Monitor supplier capacity constraints, material lead times, and market conditions affecting assigned categories. Escalate unresolved supply disruptions or delivery risks to Supply Chain Management with proposed mitigation actions. Maintain awareness of industry trends relevant to data center power infrastructure procurement. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with Engineering to ensure procurement aligns with technical specifications and design requirements. Coordinate with Project Management to align procurement timelines with project delivery schedules. Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineering on supplier qualification, quality performance issues, and corrective action requirements. Coordinate with Field Execution to ensure material availability supports commissioning readiness. Communicate procurement status, risks, and supply constraints to internal stakeholders. Process Improvement & Scalability Drive procurement process improvements, standardization, and efficiency gains across assigned categories.
