The Commercial Loan Officer plays a crucial role within a lending team, specializing in managing various types of commercial loans including lines of credit, commercial real estate loans, business expansion loans, and equipment financing. This professional conducts thorough loan underwriting and credit analysis to ensure sound financial decisions while maintaining portfolio quality and adhering to regulatory compliance. The role involves leveraging both specialized loan management software and traditional tools, and requires occasional travel to support relationship building and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite and analyze commercial loan applications
- Perform detailed credit and cash flow analysis
- Manage loan portfolios to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and banking policies
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Utilize loan management and banking software effectively
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lending
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- Mortgage Loan Originator License (NMLS)
- Market Area Experience
