Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Description: Please ensure traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position with Ochsner Health, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for a role at Ochsner Health if you are not comfortable with the above.

This is a MED/SURG position that specializes in post-op GI and wound care. Please only submit candidates with this experience. Acute care experience required. Med/Surg and post-op experience required. Must have experience working full time on a post-op unit. Must have a minimum of one travel contract completed to be submitted. 2 years experience required.

Patient Diagnoses: Pancreatitis, GI bleeds, Bowel obstructions, Bowel perforation, Wound infections, Post Op infections, mass removal, Esophageal perf, GSW, MVC, Diverticulitis

Special Procedures: Pancreatectomy, Esphagectomy, Whipple, Spleenectomy, Adrenalectomy, Cystectomy, Colectomy, Thyroidectomy, Mastectomy, Hepatic Resection, Nissen, Bariatric Surgery, TURP, Gastrectomy, Parathyroidectomy, Ex lap

Equipment: PEG, PEJ, PCA, Per drain, JP drain, hemo vac, wound vac, nephrostomy tubes, Ileostomy, Colostomy, Urostomy

Colostomy, surgical drains skills preferred. Post Op Experience required.
