WelderLocation: Jupiter, FLStatus: Hourly Non-ExemptJob SummaryThe essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:Set-up and installation of welding equipmentExecution of welding on gas turbine components as per the required technical specificationUse of hand tools to assemble/disassemble and prep/blend welds.Quality check of the performed work before operation step confirmationPreparation/confirmation of the required quality documentationReporting of used production time per production stepSetting up welding parameters, selects consumable materials, and prepares work piece for new welding process trials together with engineering staffDesigns and fabricates welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as requiredReporting of technical deviations with the Non-Conformance Reporting System (NCR)Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and toolsKeeping the working environment and machines in a clean and proper conditionFollowing Environmental Health and Safety regulationsContinually improving operations and the working environmentOther tasks assigned by production manager or supervisorMinimum RequirementsEducation & TrainingHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentCertified in welding (TIG & MIG) or equivalent years of experience.Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training MatrixSkills/Experience3+ years of experience with TIG welding3+ years of experience in a production or maintenance environment1+ years of experience with welding of Ni-base or Ni-Cr alloysExperienced in carrying out visual inspections of weldsDemonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processesPhysical RequirementsStooping/Crouching. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of timeWalking.
