Pathologists Assistant

Role: Pathologist Assistant responsible for providing anatomic pathology services under supervision. Key Responsibilities Prepare specimens through gross examination to ensure readiness for processing. Assess and document specimens, including assigning codes and dictating gross descriptions. Assist in histologic sectioning and ensure compliance with safety, quality control, and biohazard regulations. Supervise, train, and evaluate grossing technicians, documenting their progress and performance. Collaborate effectively with lab staff, pathologists, and other team members. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; ASCP certification and NY State license or eligibility preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to learn internal software programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
